What is it about?  

Treatment Planning – A central part of the TA psychotherapist’s knowledge… the section on treatment planning makes up a substantial part of the written examination and oral examination for CTA exam.

Clients and their therapist often ask:

• What do we do next?
• Where do we go now?
• Is it right for us to do that now?
• How do we know when we get there … and then what will happen?

The territory of TA psychotherapy is well mapped… although the story of how each individual travels through that territory can seem like a mystery. A well understood treatment plan can be like a map and compass for all psychotherapists and their supervisors.

• We will explore treatment planning using the participants own case material as well as describing the various treatment plans.
• Dave will introduce his own none-linear model of treatment planning to the group.

For whom is it of special interest? –

Psychotherapists - although the ideas can be transferred to other fields. This workshop is for all who have been involved in the therapeutic process and wondered about the direction taken in the sessions.

What will participants take away? –

An understanding of the number of available treatment plans – by the end of the workshop participants will be able to make up their own mind about which ones they will use in their own work.
