Introduction toTransactional Analysis the TA “101” course:

This is the official "Introduction to TA" covering the core concepts of Transactional Analysis.

Recognised by the Institute of Transactional Analysis and the European Association of Transactional Analysis.

Venue: Leeds - a central location easily reached from Leeds city centre.

  • March 5 / 6th

  • October 8 / 9th

The 101 course is the official Introduction to TA and  forms the first module of the 2011 TA Foundation Course... However you can also attend only the 101 course if you wish. 

  • TA is a theory of personality and a systematic psychotherapy for growth and personal change.

  • The TA “101” is the officially recognised introduction to TA covering all the core Transactional Analysis concepts. Participants will receive the "101 Certificate" from the Institute of Transactional Analysis. 

  • Dave and Uta use creative and enjoyable approaches to learning the core concepts in a way which means the TA concepts can be used by participants for their own development or within their professional lives.

  • At the start of the workshop you will be asked to let the trainer know of particular interests and applications you are interested in.

The course covers:

  • Strokes: Our basic need for recognition.
  • Time Structure: Our basic need to structure time.
  • Ego States: Parent, Adult, Child: Our many selves… where they come from and understanding their use. 
  • Transactions: The 3 rules of communication and analysis of transactions. 
  • Discounting and passivity: How we make the world fit our frame of reference, and not solving problems!
  • Script: our life story written in childhood and acted out repeatedly …script development and changing.
  • Game theory: “Games People Play” The world best selling book was many peoples introduction to TA .. The theory has moved on and we consider how and why we play games and how we can change these destructive patterns in our lives

Times 10 - 5pm

Cost £250 funded £125 self funded: (you can pay through pay pal if you are self funded... I have added a £5 fee onto the charge to cover the cost of the transactions).
